Emergency Service and Nitrogen Generation for Synergy Nutrition

Amidst the rush of the festive season, Synergy Nutrition noticed the nitrogen supply had dropped in quality. With the prompt response of our servicing technicians, we were able to resolve the issue quickly and minimise the loss of production time. 

Synergy Nutrition is a specialist milk powder packaging company based in Auckland, producing and packaging infant formula, milk powders, plant-based powder, pet milk powder, and more. 
Requiring a 24/7 supply of high-purity inert gas for safe packaging, the team uses a Nitropak containerised nitrogen generator from Industrial Air Systems.

Just before Christmas in 2023, Synergy Nutrition’s nitrogen generator suddenly dropped its N2 purity levels. As the gas could no longer meet quality standards for packaging, the production line had to close down, halting a series of urgent Christmas orders. Management immediately phoned us on the Industrial Air Systems 0800 helpline. 

Our Service Manager responded, recognising the urgency for a reliable nitrogen supply to get the factory back on track. On receiving the call, we immediately dispatched a Head Technician to the Synergy Nutrition site, arriving just 15 minutes later. 

Upon inspecting the system, it was discovered that another supplier had mistakenly left a key piece of compressed air plant switched off. This caused water to enter the filtration of the  Nitrogen generator and drop the N2 purity.

With our immediate response, Industrial Air Systems provided immediate relief and peace of mind for the team at Synergy Nutrition. While this could have been a catastrophic failure with significant collateral damage, the real outcome was no product loss and very little downtime. As a result, they met all order deadlines before the Christmas cut-off.
